1. 2018-2019 Tuition Aid Application Process
Aid applications for the 2018-19 school year will again be processed by FACTS Management. Families applying for tuition aid in Catholic schools within the Diocese of Pittsburgh may do so by using the online link below.
2. A Pastor Signature Sheet (link below and within the online application) must be submitted by Catholic families to be considered for grants from the Bishop’s Education Fund. You can download a Pastor Signature Sheet below or within the online application
3. Tax Credits (EITC and OSTC)
Other grant programs include funding from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs. If you have questions or concerns about the application process, you may speak with a FACTS Customer Care Representative at 1-866-441-4637. Please call your school directly for any other questions or the Department for Catholic Schools at 412-456-3090. The application fee for 2018-19 is $25. (Applicants may see a higher fee on the FACTS introductory information screens. If so, this can be disregarded.) The application deadline, unless an exception is made for extenuating circumstances, is March 15, 2018. Please use the chart below to determine whether your family qualifies for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs. Families exceeding these guidelines, while not excluded from applying for assistance from the Bishop’s Education Fund, are unlikely to demonstrate enough financial need to qualify for a grant. The 2018-19 amounts will be shown when received from the Commonwealth.
