It is a pleasure to introduce myself to you. My name is Cindy Baldrige and I have been in Catholic education for thirty nine years, twenty years as a Physical Education teacher/Athletic Director and nineteen as a Principal. It is both a pleasure and honor to be in the leadership role at Saints Peter & Paul. The entire school community is very dedicated and supportive of Catholic education.
I believe that children are gifts from God with monumental potential. Through the efforts of the school and local community, we are able to assist them to develop their skills and talents, while providing them with a strong religious background preparing them for continued success as an adult. Our school is a learning environment but equally important, a caring environment in which children are accepted for their uniqueness. The faculty and staff hold the bar high so that each child will set out to accomplish their goals far beyond their expectations.
I have a strong commitment to the spiritual, academic, emotional, and social educational growth of each child. My loyalty to your child comes out of the outstanding traditions associated with Catholic education; faith, community, academic excellence, and service, all integral components for a successful life.
My husband Jim and I have been blessed with two adult sons. Both attended a Catholic grade school where I have recently taught/was principal. Each has grown to be an outstanding young man who realize the strong foundation that was set for them in their early years has paid off well beyond their imagination.
Currently, SSPP enrolls one hundred sixty students (K-8) and thirty four students in our Pre-School. Our staff includes nine full time teachers and six part time teachers. All faculty members are fully state-certified and our school was Middle States accredited in November of 2012. We offer an outstanding core curriculum, an extensive extra-curricular program of sports, clubs, and activities and an after school program to assist working parents. Each of our ‘Special classes’ i.e., Spanish, Art, Music, Physical Education and Algebra are taught by a teacher certified in his/her curriculum area. Our Computer Lab holds twenty five computers and each room has several laptops for student use. Our sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students each receive a Chromebook and a roaming cart of thirty I-pads are used daily by our teachers/students. Usage of technology is seen in all classrooms daily!
We offer limited tuition assistance to families falling under particular guidelines. Our school is supported by a strong parish/family base and our students are involved in service and community outreach.
Our goal at SSPP is to build for the future. At Saints Peter & Paul this bright future does not just happen; we plan it, build it, and welcome it. Our foundations are four-fold; we build on faith; we build a “Christ centered” school community, we build on excellence, we build on tradition. We believe that these pillars will set a strong foundation in molding a young lady/man while paying dividends that will last a lifetime.
We invite you to tour our facility. Please call the school office at 724-774-4450 to schedule a tour or for any questions that you may have about our school, tuition, academics, or extra-curricular activities.
