RESPECT LIFE CORNER  A woman wrote of her abortion, “It was very painful, physically and mentally. It affected me in the worst way. I felt very guilty.  I couldn’t look at my kids. I know I won’t ever do it again.”  Those getting an abortion think it will solve problems, and they find out it only creates more of them.

We are grateful for the donations made to the ANGEL FUND in memory of Michael Damiano by Monica Mazzone, Karen Fox, Mr. and Mrs. R. Conley and Mrs. Shirley Slade.

ARISE TO GLORY   Please remember in your Masses and prayers the souls of Rev. Robert J. Schweitzer and all the faithful departed.  May they rest in peace.

The SEPTEMBER SUNDAY ENVELOPES mailed a couple of weeks ago were printed incorrectly. The envelopes had Catholic Education instead of Church Support on them.  You may have received a second set of envelopes this past week with Church Support on the green Sunday envelopes. No matter which green envelope you use, your donation will be counted for Church Support.

PARISH PIRATE GAME: Saturday, September 18  All HS teens and parishioners are invited to come to the Pirate game this night! Everyone in our group will receive a Pirate hat! Carpooling will be arranged and will leave from SSPP parking lot at 5:00 p.m. Anyone younger than 9th grade MUST be accompanied by a parent.  Cost: $18/person  RSVP to the Youth Minister by calling 724-775-4111.

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE AT SSPP: Friday, September 24.  The High School Youth Group will  host a Blood Drive at SSPP in the school cafeteria on the 24th from 12 noon till 6:00 p.m.  Sign-ups for the blood drive  will be taken outside of church after all masses the weekend of September 11-12. Walk-ins are welcome, but we encourage you to sign up ahead of time to avoid lines. Please support this Youth Group Service Project and have the chance to save 3 lives by donating!
